OUR STORY
Since 1980s
The Agnew Family, owners of King’s Ransom Design and Fab LLC and have been around racing their entire lives. It all started back in the 1980s when Mark Agnew started racing with the NJBA with his Flatbottom “King’s Ransom”. By 1983, Mark had gone 105mph in his flatty, and as most of us do, wanted to go faster. In 1984, he stepped up into a Kurtis Kraft Hydro and eventually built a 482ci Blown Gas BBC that went a best of 7.70 @ 144mph running the IHBA.
Fast Forward to…
Today
Racing today is a family affair. The Agnew family race at events across the Western United States. Mike drives his 1969 Chevelle that was actually his High School car and has gone a best of 9.38 @ 142mph. He has won multiple events, and multiple season championships throughout his career.
Garrett and Levi race their Jr. Dragsters with the NHRA Jr. Dragster program and have both won countless races throughout their careers.
Mike’s wife, Naomi grew up around horsepower as well, growing up on a ranch in the San Jacinto Mountain Range. There the family raises Texas Long Horn Cattle. The Agnew family still continues the western tradition with their 5-acre ranch in Southern California.

We decided last year to start King’s Ransom Design and Fab LLC, because we felt the need to help others. Years of experience have found that everyone has ideas and we had a vision to make those ideas a reality. For anyone that knows us personally, we pride ourselves with quality in everything that we do. We want to be able to do that for our customers as well.
With over 20 years of experience in Engineering, King’s Ransom Design and Fab LLC is a business where we can turn your ideas into a final product you want. Our goal is to provide the best customer service and product we would want ourselves.
King’s Ransom Design and Fab is not all racing focused, with the equipment we have available. We have the capability to design and build almost anything you desire.
